Stock of the week a true power play
The stock market is vulnerable as indicated by the large sell off last Wednesday, then a large recovery Thursday, and another big sell off Friday. We would be a seller rather than a buyer – taking those profits that are so large that they can make you well, if you got sick on the last bear market. We have immediate sell ratings on the following stocks that have large insider selling (and insiders don’t sell because they’re stupid…they sell because they think their stock is well priced): Viacom (VIA) 29.88; Nike (Again) (NKE) 64.17; Carnival Corp (CCL) 32.03; CBS (CBS) 12.94; GAP (Again) (GPS) 22.02. The stocks below are mostly speculative, but with good charts - APPA and ENCO have significant insider buying.
Our stock picks (Based on 10-23-09 closing prices): Valero Energy (VLO) 20.67; Bottomline Tech. (EPAY) 14.64; Gammon Gold (GRS) 9.09; China Grentech (GRRF) 5.20; Active Power (ACPW) *1.44; Epicept (Again) (EPCT) .87; AP Pharma (APPA) .83; Encorium Group (ENCO) .41.
