VTR VS GOLD VS MARKETS

I missed a big opportunity in T.VEN last year as my friend recommended me to buy at .38. Anyways past is past, what I want to point out here is that Ventana's huge success came with high grade gold, they found gold over large areas just like VTR. The only difference between Ventana and VTR is that Ventana found gold at above 10 g/t on most of their locations and VTR has lower grade but still a very good grade of gold. Ventana is currently under dispute with its landlord that is why it is trading at under $10 range. Once the dispute is taken care of VEN will be comparable to companies like Barrick. VTR is still in its early drilling stages with many more holes still left to be drilled. Once the higher grade zones are found this stock could take off and trade above $6 easily. We can compare this to Greystar resources which has almost same grade of gold as VTR and is trading in $4-7 range.

Now regarding GOLD, I hear all kinds of predictions. I hear $600-$5000 by the end of this year. Now lets analyze what these predictions are saying. Some researchers say that since economy is weakening gold will go down to $600...this does not really make sense to me as it is clear that Gold is the ultimate currency. Our whole financial system depends on gold. Gold was the reason why currency came into effect. I know predicting a $5000 range for gold is stretching it , I personally don't think it will reach $5000 yet but we could see it touch $5000 once economies such as India and China slow down or go in recession. (Which is long way from now)

This brings me to my third point CREDIT CARDS and CREDIT in general. We all know that financial systems work on credit system, or it atleast did in past. What went wrong? We all know the answer to that so I am not going to go into that. But why am I bringing this up right now? Well, India and China are the two economies which were least hurt by the credit crunch. Why? They did not believe in credit cards and even vendors did not accept it as a payment option. But recently Indian credit card market has exploded. In fact 1 out of 5 calls is from tele marketers who are trying to make commission by giving away credit card. India is new to this and is falling into traps of what us North Americans have already suffered. In 12-18 years from now India will see a similar credit crisis and it could lead to a big recession or atleast hurt world wide economy significantly.

In conclusion, VTR is a solid gold company with great potential (I still have to check their financials, I know IMF has extended monetary help to this company which is a plus).
