Another important event in December

Hi all,

There is another important event in December (18th) for the 3D world and that's the release of the movie "Avatar" by James Cameron. I think 3D is not yet part of our culture. Sure there has been 3D movies - some animation movies for example - but they were almost non-events. 3D needs a movie that will be considered a classic. A movie that people will remember as the movie that put 3D on the map. And if there is a movie that can achieve this status, it's got to be Avatar.  see http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Movies/08/21/avatar.day.james.cameron/index.html

Also, has there been non sports events other than movies done in 3D? What I have in mind is rock / pop concerts. Imagine yourself practically on stage with your favorite artist! That's got to be an awesome experience. And it just happens that U2 is in Montreal on July the 16th 2010...

SIO has great potential but at some point, the company will have to justify the stock price by earning lots of money. People just bought 1080p LCD screens. The economy is not so great - though improving. Unemployment will likely remain high for a while. That will have an impact on sales of 3D televisions.

Any thoughts?
