Canadian Stock Alerts is not a stock picking blog. Rather a simple strategy to find Canadian stocks that have higher than usual trading volume. Stocks that then spike up and pull back. These are considered "in play" stocks. Buying the pullback assures you don't chase it and buy at the high or worse participate in an illiquid stock that has no trading volume.
Day traders can participate in these "in play" stocks many times in the same day or two. Stocks can have volume for any number of reasons and sometimes there appears to be no reason at all. If there's unusual volume, then we are paying attention.
Best Always,
Mike Perras
